Clinic Review

At the CF clinic today I got my "official" weight : 45.1 kgs or 7stone 1lb or 99lbs 42 ounces :O

Lung Function was up slightly on last review, 0.86 last time and 0.92 today.

I had to do a walking test today which involved walking between 2 markers which were set at 10 metres apart, for 6 minutes. The Physio took my sats level and heart rate at the start of the exercise and then again after 2 minutes of walking and again after 6 minutes. She also asked me how breathless I felt on a scale of 0 - 10 ( 0 being not breathless at all and 10 being completely knackered ;) ) at these intervals.
Apparently I did rather well, for my Lung Function levels :)

But, alas, even though I got a relatively good report, I'm being admitted next week for IV's. Normally I'd be putting up a fight but I know that I need a boost before the rotten winter weather settles in for good.
So, it seems that I'm to have IV's twice a year as part of my treatment from now on. ( this will be my 3rd this year but I'm not counting the ones I had in May as they were for a boost before going on holiday )

So, tomorrow I'm going shopping (wayhay) for new 'jammies and stuff for next week.
